This art activity was created by Amanda Porter, MPT, with the Oklahoma Assistive Technology Center, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Rehabilitation Services, in Cooperation with the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services. Suggestions for using this activity: Open the Boardmaker file. The following directions are also printed on the activity materials in Boardmaker: Directions: 1. Print, cut out & laminate (if desired) the Material Cards and Direction Cards. 2. Use the Direction Cards to help students create their sand art. You can also do sand painting by putting glue on a piece of construction paper and sprinkling the colored sand.
